  • When and where does the festival take place? +
    The festival takes place this August 25th - 27th 2017 at the Covelong Point Social Surf School in Kovalam village near Chennai, Tamil Nadu - India’s first surfing village and a hub of surf culture in South India.

  • What's happening at the festival? +
    Featuring a national and international level surf competition, a global music lineup spread across three stages, yoga and meditation classes and alternative healing workshops - the annual event attracts thousands of attendees every year from across India and around the globe.

    The event also features a vibrant flea market, food stalls, art installations and beach side activities.
  • What are the timings? +

  • What are my transportation options to get to the festival? +

    - By car: Drive to the festival and paid parking is provided.
    Tip: we recommend car pooling to do your part for mother nature! 

    - By taxi:
    Uber & Ola operate to the festival.
    Tip: Book your cab in advance for when leaving from the festival.
    Remember: Pick up and drop zone - is festival ground

    - Bus Services: 
    Starting from Chennai Bus Depot - buses 109, 119, 599 to Mamalapuram pass Kovalam village cricket ground. 10 min walk to the festival ground from Cricket ground

  • Will there be parking? +
    Parking will be available around the festival premises on the cricket grounds – follow the signs to the parking lot. There will be a small parking fee, and autos will be ferrying passengers to and from the festival grounds. Alternately, the festival is a short 10 minute walk from the parking area.

  • What about accommodation if I want to stay near the festival? +
    We have tie ups with a few hotels located near the festival premises, offering special festival rates for different budgets.

  • I'm from the Press and want to cover the festival - how do I apply for accreditation? +
    Contact us to request accreditation before the festival or to setup interviews - or arrive at the festival grounds and register at the Press Desk for entry. Please ensure you are carrying a valid Press Pass/ID with you.
